Your information, kept carefully.

This notice explains how Bharosi handles waitlist and verification data. Last updated: 25 April, 2026.

Plain-language notice

Consent, purpose, and minimum data.

Bharosi is designed around the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 principles of notice, consent, lawful purpose, data minimisation, security, and user rights. This page is not legal advice; it is our plain-language user notice for a pre-launch service.

01

Information we collect

  • Waitlist details: WhatsApp number (required), role (driver / fleet owner / other), and optional city, email, and preferred language. We also record the page or campaign that brought you to us.
  • We use the optional preferred-language field only to plan which non-Bengali/English/Hindi languages to translate the product app into next; it is not shared and not used to profile you.
  • Verification details during onboarding (after launch only): driving licence information, GST details for fleet owners, work history, references, and consent records.
  • Technical details needed to keep the service safe: request logs, device type, IP address, and abuse-prevention signals.

02

Why we use it

  • To send a single WhatsApp message on launch day, invite users in batches, verify drivers and fleet owners, prevent misuse, and improve the product.
  • To create trusted records only where the driver or owner has given the required consent.

03

Aadhaar handling

  • Bharosi does not store Aadhaar UID numbers.
  • Where Aadhaar-related identity verification is needed, Bharosi will use lawful consent-based methods such as Aadhaar offline XML and will store only the minimum verification outcome needed for the service.

04

When we share information

  • We may share limited profile information between verified drivers and verified fleet owners when it is necessary for hiring, verification, support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or service providers who process data on our behalf.
  • We do not sell waitlist details.

05

Your choices and rights

  • You can ask us to correct, update, or delete your waitlist record, subject to legal and fraud-prevention requirements.
  • You can withdraw the launch WhatsApp by emailing hello@bharosi.com from the address on your record, or by replying STOP to the launch message itself. Some operational messages may still be needed if you use Bharosi after launch.

06

How long we keep data

  • Waitlist data is kept while Bharosi is preparing launch and onboarding users.
  • Verification and trust records are kept only as long as needed for the platform, legal duties, dispute handling, and safety.
